B*spoke Theatre Company’s production of Dinner with Groucho by Frank McGuinness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bond Street Studios<\/a> got the chance to travel back in time to the 1930’s and portray one of Americas greatest comedians Groucho Marx<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had the pleasure of working with Ian Bartholomew<\/a> as Groucho Marx and Ingrid Craigie<\/a> as Proprietor. Stylist Catherine Condell and Make Up Artist Sarah McCann applied their magic to transform both Ian and Ingrid into their characters. We built a small restaurant style set in Studio 1<\/a> and Photographer Barry McCall<\/a> then worked on capturing this old school Hollywood styled image for the play.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dinner with Groucho is a play produced by b*spoke theatre company<\/a>,\u00a0 in association with The Civic<\/a> as part of Dublin Theatre Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In a strange restaurant two American giants who revere each other, Groucho Marx and TS Eliot, meet for dinner. Both in their own ways great defiant spirits, they create magic and anarchy, revealing secrets and sorrows. The evening is presided over by the Proprietor, who seems to control the workings of the universe.
Or does she?”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The play previews at The Civic Theatre from the 22nd – 26th of September 2022 and then opens from the 28th of September – 1st October 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
